The Fung Agenda

Lower the Cost of Living

Inflation is currently at 40 year highs, and as a result you are losing thousands of dollars from your wallet because prices are skyrocketing, and your paycheck can’t keep up.

Just look at the shelves at our stores.  It’s not always easy to find the products you normally buy at the local market, and when you do, you’re paying an arm and a leg more than what you were a year ago.  It's not just cutting coupons; it's cutting back on family nights at Twin Oaks and Iggy's.  And your electronics – good luck!  Appliances are on backorders for weeks, and car parts on backorder for months.  The supply chains have more log jams than Route 4 on a gorgeous beach day.

To check inflation, we need to put a stop to the insane progressive spending.  Does the Presidio Park in Nancy Pelosi's home district really need $200 million dollars?  We need adults in the room who can prioritize and say no to this nonsense, much like I did when I came on board in Cranston.

We also need to ensure that the Fed promotes a gradual interest rate policy to prevent a painful crash and recession like we saw in the 1980s.

Additionally, we need to modernize our ports across the country to improve our supply chain logistics, including right here at Quonset.

Let’s also incentivize high tech manufacturers to make their products – like semiconductors –  right here in America.  We can welcome these companies to Johnston, to Cranston, to Warwick, and all across the district.  I want to pay the American worker to build our products, not be reliant on unstable regimes charging more for the everyday items we need.  Let’s rebuild our domestic strength and be a superpower once again.
